How to "Invite Attendees" using an Address Book "List"?

I have a "List" in my address book with 60 e-mail addresses and would
like to send meeting invitations to them. But when I type the name of
the List into the "Invite Attendees" dialog and Tab out of the entry
field, all I get is the *first entry* from the List.

It would be very cumbersome to manually type in all 60 names.

Is there a way to invite people using a List? If not, is there a bug
number I could follow?

PS. I had posted this in the support newsgroup two months ago but got no
response.

Thanks!

Thanks Stefan. It looks like the bug is making some progress.

I tried this patch on my Thunderbird 17.0.2 Lightning 1.9 - edited calendar-event-dialog-attendees.xml to make the 1-word change "userstatus-icon" to "usertype-icon", and now the address book list expands happily into a list of people to invite. The patch text is at https://bug814799.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=710226
Now, the question is, what is the release cycle for new official releases of Lightning that will run on Thunderbird 17.0.2 (since the release of TB 18, 19 etc is not going to happen).

We're planning to do a 1.9.1 release soon that will likely include this fix.

Probably i didn't find any changes.. Might be not looking exactly at
what should be tested.
Can anyone help me with this in Lightning.
Does that mean while sending an invite to a Distribution List.. i will
be able to select members ...
Please help.
