I use Sunbird 0.9 and I've subscribed to my google calendar.
When I open Sunbird:
(1) If the internet connection is 'ON', everything is fine.
(2) If the internet connection is 'OFF', Sunbird tries to contact google
(and it fails) and then it doesn't display anything.
Which is entirely a bad situation. If there is no internet connection, it
should actually show what it displayed the last time. That is the right
solution. Displaying an empty calendars when I'm in the middle of my work is
totally unacceptable.
No internet connection = no calendar is a very bad solution.
I love Sunbird. But, this design issue is a serious show-stopper. Can you
please get this fixed at the earliest?

Hi, you can enable the experimental offline cache from the calendar
properties dialog to view your events while being offline.
