Re: What does the Mozilla Balkan community mean to you?

Greetings fellow Balkans!

Ok, this is my opinion about this topic.

1. What does the Mozilla Balkan community mean to you and your community?

I think that we Mozilla Balkans should be community which connects
communities from Balkan. So we should use it as a tool to help each other,
to share our experiences and learn each other. A good example Vito from
Slovenian community. He is a "localization machine" and can offer so much
knowledge to all other communities in this area. We need to step up with
that part and help each other to achieve even more in our local
communities. Balkans can be our triangle: knowledge, ideas, case studies.

2. Why is Mozilla Balkans still relevant?

We all agree that Reps program is filling some of the roles. I think we
have a great Mozillians from Balkan and that gives me a hope that we can
move forward and improve our collaboration.

3. What can we realistically achieve in Zagreb that will give us a
springboard to further collaboration in the future.

I think that we should create a list of SIGs in Mozilla Balkan and organize
workshops for every SIGs. And share experiences, ideas, etc.

But we need to be realistic with our goals. The meeting is not about fun.
It's about meeting new people and connecting. I would love to contribute
more to Balkans.

Our work and communication in Slovenian community has improved
significantly after a meetup in Sofia. We now have regular Skype meetings.
It's hard to get "eye to eye" contact in some communities, we had luck in
Sofia as 3/4 members where on the meetup.

But on the other side we really need to get some media attention in Balkans
region with some Balkans community driven marketing campaign.
