When I open up the tracing window, I see the "Logs" tab filled with a
"file not found" displayed:
File not found
Firefox can't find the file at chrome://firebug/content/traceLogFrame.html.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Thanks,
Robert

Sounds like you don't have Firebug installed?

Try putting that URL in to Firefox. You should a blank-looking page, not
an error message.

You are right that I don't see this, I see the same file not found.

However, I /do/ have firebug installed.

[rpgoldman-2:Firefox/Profiles/XXXXXX.debug] rpg% find . -name
traceLogFrame.html
./extensions/chro...@johnjbarton.com/fb4cb/content/firebug/
traceLogFrame.html

Is there a firebug version requirement? I have firebug 1.4.5. Or
could I have misconfigured this in some other way?

thanks,

You should use the same version of Firebug as Chromebug, eg
Firebug 1.5b6
Chromebug 1.5b6

That is just because we can't test other combinations than the one we
user ourselves.

Thank you very much, John. I didn't understand that Chromebug and
Firebug were so closely tied, so that's what I was doing wrong.

Best,
