Hi all,

So I've been putting together a description of the Services Metrics
component that we're looking to implement over the next couple of
months. I've got a pretty good idea about what we need to do, in
general, and what I think is a reasonable set of first steps to get us
to something usable. You can see what I've put together so far here:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Services/Metrics

What I'm missing is some detail about the specific data points that are
on our short list of what should be captured for analysis and reporting.
I've got some ideas:

- amount of time elapsed by the server process handling a request
- amount of time elapsed for completion of specific back-end requests
(node assignment, storage operations, etc.)
- # of unique daily users
- # and type of sync operations over a period of time, in aggregate and
by user
- # and type of user operations (successful logins, email edits,
password changes, etc.) over a period of time, in aggregate and by user

I'm hoping the rest of you might have some specific ideas re: valuable
data points we can use to further flesh out our use cases. Any suggestions?

Thanks!
