Check out the latest update to the Home Dash Prospector experiment:

Please leave feedback on that post in this thread.

Hi Ed,
One suggestion: Implement the 'Switch To Tab' feature available in the
regular awesome bar. This will avoid duplication of the Tabs.

Hi Ed,
Two suggestions:
for the location-bar add a config-button?! --> to add or remove search
options
also for location-bar: add commands like:
"-google TEXT"
"-youtube TEXT"
"-WHATEVER TEXT"
for direct search results without using mouse
maybe with shortcuts:
"-g TEXT"
"-y TEXT"
...
also requires config menu^^

Greatings,
Stefan Over.

Which tabs do you end up with duplicates? Are you opening them from
the top sites/thumbnail area or is it from the history list along the
left?

For example, if it's a Gmail message history result from the left,
would you want that to just take you to your open Gmail tab or open a
new tab with just the Gmail message? Clicking on the Gmail thumbnail
in the top sites area should probably take you to your open Gmail tab.

Yeah, it would be especially useful if Home Dash started automatically
noticing which pages you search from and show those in the list, but
you might want to reorder or remove some of them.

Outside of the Home Dash interface, you should be able to add keywords
to search engines and then you'll be able to type "<keyword> TEXT" to
do the search. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl-K to cycle through
the search engines.
