I installed the Prism add-on/extension on my 3.0.11 Firefox installed
in Kubuntu Intrepid.

I select Tools->Convert Website to Application... and check "Create
Shortcuts - Desktop". I see a .desktop file appear in my Desktop
folder, but when I launch it, Firefox comes up with full decoration
and default homepage as though I'd just launched Firefox by itself.

Any suggestions? Also, if I hadn't selected to create a Shortcut, how
else would I launch a Prism app?

Thanks!

I have also seen it do the very same thing on Ubuntu - Jaunty
Jackalope.

Really? No go on 64-bit Ubuntu and no one has any advice or
explanation?

I just added a bug about it if you wanted to chime in with different
scenarios or vote for it:
