I was just able to sign in with my browserID account. You have to have an account on addons.mozilla.org first, though, I think.

Yeah this is likely due to not having a registered AMO account. Follow the directions on the Biuilder's sign-in page to get one, then use the same email to login to Builder via BrowserID:

"Log in to Add-on Builder using the same email address you use to access addons.mozilla.org. If you don't have an account there yet, you can create one here."

Let me know if you have any further issues!

I'm having the same problem. I've created all the accounts they ask
for, confirmed all the emails they send and when I try to login it
just takes me back to the stupid sign-in page. How can this BrowserID
thing complicate a simple login so much. I wonder how many people are
having the same problem but don't have the time to join this group and
share their problem.

Maybe you are encountering the following bug:
NS_ERROR_DOM_SECURITY_ERR with
https://browserid.org/production/browserid.js
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=726955

It prevents from logging-in if the cookie handling setting is set this way:
Preferences -> Privacy -> History -> Use custom settings for history ->
Keep (cookies) until -> "Ask me every time"

Changing momentarily the cookie handling setting to get round this bug.

Hope it helps.

If you are hit by another problem check your JavaScript/Error console to
try to spot anything useful and report a bug for the Product "Mozilla
Labs" Component "Identity". You will help many people!

Sorry about this. There was a re-organization of permissions on AMO, and BAMO's permission got lost in the mix. It's all working now.
