Very nice ideas! I'm also excited by Jetpack, Mozilla and integrating
correlated technologies. I managed to integrate some processing with
CUDA and Jetpack on Jetpack contest :)

We really liked your off-loaded GPU processing via CUDA! Just so you
all know, we are planning support for Prizm-like abilities in Jetpack,
so you can have a jetpack running as if it was a Yahoo Konfabulator
widget without the rest of the browser chrome present (similar to
Adobe AIR). Stay tuned, the coming months are going to be quite
interesting!

Here are few updates.
* I have discovered in January a similar/close idea, that is, Firefox
Extensions - http://grack.com/blog/2009/12/30/firefox-extensions-written-in-gwt-revisited/
- written in GWT (but without using Jetpack), with implementation
provided.
And my "prediction" (using GWT to generate an extension for Firefox
+JetPack) has come true, but for Chrome. I have discovered recently :
* Tweet Streamer - https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/lmbehinjacalkpaiadenmalofkdnppne
- a Chrome browser extension, has been developed using GWT (from
http://www.ongwt.com). There is little surprise about that... as there
is a tendency for developing add-ons using HTML, CSS and JavaScript,
and the Chrome browser is following this way too
So, it looks like to validate GWT for generating an extension for
Firefox+JetPack.
