Subject: [PROTOTYPE] The Intelligent Browser Concept

Hi all,

safwan.in/mozilla
PDF file<http://safwan.in/mozilla/iBrowser%20the%20intelligent%20Browser%20Con...>

*Description:*
iBrowser aims at making browser more intelligent and responsive to the
end-user. The concept aims at the advanced users who want fast and pain
free browsing. Maximum space for surfing minimum distraction, that’s
another focus of this concept. The concept aims at making intelligent
chrome that’s only visible when you need it.

*Long Description:*

The concept addresses several issues including:
1. User Differences: Techie V/S Common Man.
2. Screen Real-estate.
3. Tab Management.
4. Upload and Download Management.
5. Bookmark Management.
6. Media Viewing and Management.
7. Help and Support.
8. Feedback and Status.
9. Innovating new tab.
10. Discoverability.

The whole concept has been visualized using flash which will take you step
by
step through the concepts with explanation. Click here.

Prototype:*
I have learned the art of extending Firefox recently. So prototyping the
whole
concept within this short term of period was impossible. More over I found
several add-ons that could serve my purpose (they are not cent percent what
I
need but are fine). So what I’m doing is I’ll set up a profile with all the
add-ons
and settings with a cheat list and host the profile online.

Things to try in the Prototype:

1.Ctrl + tab
2.Right Click + Scroll (2 or more tabs should be open)

Menu anywhere
1. Press Mouse Middle Button. (Check my flash for the exact one i
proposed)
2. Press Mouse + Middle Button + Enter. For Url Bar. (In this addon
url box dont inherit the feature of orginal one that is suggestion
etc...
3. Press Middle Button  + Right or Left Click.

I highly recommend you to see the flash <http://safwan.in/mozilla> ,
