Hi,

Is there a way to use a GeoJSON point in query, and a 2dsphere index with Morphia. See http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/reference/operator/near/
This allows to search within a certain distance in meters and seems to be the new "standard" in MongoDB. It seems that currently I can only query $near with $maxDistance in radians.

Thanks,
Klemens

That's a known issue. Basically Morphia "knows" about the original indexes and has annotations to cover those only.

It's on a to-do list.
