Trondheim, a Norwegian college town with a student traffic problem,
has found a novel solution for helping bicyclists and pedestrians get
up steep hills. It's probably not practical for Morgantown, but great
inspiration nonetheless!

This is a great technological solution for the steep part of the
proposed connector trail between Grant Street and the Blaney House.
Jennifer Selin of the City Council was wondering whether something like
this could be done. This particular solution is narrow enough that
bicyclists/pedestrians could choose whether or not to use the adjacent
trail, and would provide a practical solution to the alternative of
building switchbacks which may not be feasible because of the width of
the existing trail. Thanks for providing this information!

road in urban areas."

Intersting that they say it is the same price as ordinary bicycle road
in urban areas. Wonder if there is any way to verify that?
