How do i control the background color of the StickyWin.PointyTip ?

It's actually kinda easy to miss given that the functionality is kind of spread across several classes. StickyWin.UI.Pointy just does the skinning, StickyWin.PointyTip positions a skinned 'tip' next to an element, and Tips.Pointy automatically assigns tips to a collection of elements. Finding where the themes are isn't super-obvious.

Sorry to bother again, but I can't manage to change the theme.
I read the documentation, but it doesn't seem to work for me. I have
the latest version of both the mootools library and Clientcide
extensions.

Would somebody be kind to show me a piece of code where I can
implement my own theme and specify a new (local) resource for the
background images (my application is on an intranet and doesn't
allways have access to Internet to download the images).

The documentation is pretty clear. Just create a new theme like so:

StickyWin.UI.Pointy.implement({
  options: {
    themes: {
      blue: {
        bgColor: "#77f",
        fgColor: "#fff",
        imgset: "blue"
      }
    },
    baseHref: "/art/sticky/" //wherever you keep your images
  }
});

Then create images: blue_back.png, blue_back.gif, blue_x.png, blue_x.gif, blue_divot.png, and blue_divot.gif and put them in /art/sticky/
