Subject: Web App UI
Hi,

Is there a current, maintained, and version 1.3-compatible equivalent
to the apparently unmaintained, 1.2-only Mocha UI [1]?

That is, a pre-skinned Mootools web-app UI with common widgets (tabs,
grids/tables, sliders, etc)?

I'm trying to fend of ExtJS.

TIA
Lee

From what I can see on Githunb, the last update to stable code was Jone
2010, and it ships with Mootools 1.2. Plus there are no docs in the master
branch, and the homepage talks about IE8 RC1 and code in SVN.

Does anyone keep a list of Mootools webapp UIs?  I can't see anything on
Google, but maybe that's my fault.

The develop branch was updated two days ago. It works with 1.3.

But I guess there's a reason it's not the master, so probably not
something my clients are going to buy into.

Looks good though.

JxLib is looking better these days, too, I might give that a shot if I
don't do it by hand.

Thanks for point this out, though, Christoph.

I was merely highlighting that it is being actively worked on and if you
want to invest your time into it, there are other people that can support
you. Just contact them on github and ask them about their plans and about
stability and whatnot :)

But I hope to have a go in a few months. Looks great.

As a MooTools Core team member and a Sencha ExtJS / Sencha Touch Core team member, let me assure you that if you need something like that, you are better off with ExtJS. Trust me.

Actually, ExtJS feels very MooToolsy. A lot of the stuff in ExtJS 4 will be coming in MooTools 2.0 in one way or another. The Class system in ExtJS is based on MooTools Class, with some MooTools 2 concepts thrown in.

Feel free to ping me directly for more info.
