Hi there.

I'm sorry, but ive never seen such a worst documentation! Absolutely
NO CONCRETE entry point for a beginner! Whether the tutorial nor the
documentation provides information on how to use the mongodb from a
website. Thats incredible.

Well, im not interested in the shell or anything else like that. I
know of the drivers, but that couldnt be true.

How the hell do i access the mongodb from my webpage????? Can u pls
help?

Best wishes from germany,
pepper

Obviously you have zero idea what you are doing.
MongoDB has drivers for every language and all decent
web frameworks likely provide integration layers with MongoDB.

Please come up with some more reasonable questions or stfu as long
as you want to appear as i-am-idiot.

If you let us know which language you are working in we can help
suggest something to start with.

In general the drivers, or language client libraries, are the best
place to start. http://www.mongodb.org/display/DOCS/Drivers In most of
these sections there are links to official and community supplied
tutorials and how-tos.

Here's a beginner tutorial for Groovy ... indeed a good one:
http://asrijaffar.blogspot.com/2009/08/groovy-tutorial-for-mongodb.html

Another one, more elaborate, for Java:

And here is another one. The best tutorial ever, IMHO:

First of all thanks to Scott and djoni for beeing unimpressed about my
obviously unobjective post ;-)
Well, the point was my wrong understanding of this database and its
connection. Dunno why, but i was thinking about accessing the database
via REST, like CouchDB, and not with sockets. So i was comletely wrong
with my only clientside javascript. In the meanwhile, oh wonder, i get
everything up and running with the PHP driver. The access via REST has
currently just a alpha state, and is also only readonly, as far as i
have read it in some documentations. So you need to code your own
implementation.

Regards.
