We've just released 1.3.5 - which adds support for delegated auth in
2.4. Right now - besides SSL/SASL support - we have no reason to
believe we need to do more to support 2.4's other features (such as
text-search or improvements to geo and aggregation).

I believe there is a big fat message on the release page atm that states that fts is not really production ready so that might answer the question, however, you can still instanstiate the command manually without helpers.

We don't need anything to support anything that, as it is simply a
command (like aggregate or distinct). Once text search is no longer
experimental, we might add a helper method for it like we did for
aggregate.
