Good racing at at Park's farm yesterday.
Thanks to Don for allowing us to play (race) all around his beautiful
property.
JR and Gunnar (and others?) put together a really nice course. As
hilly and steep as that land is, it's pretty tough to put together a
'proper' cross course, but they pulled it off nicely. Using that side
of the hill to climb up to the house/race start/finish was really
nice. Tough climb, but not the grinder that coming up the other way
has been the last couple of years. And all those switchbacking
downhill turns were fun -- really tested rider's trust in their tires!
The start/finish line was a great place to watch the action, with the
race passing right in front of it 3 times, plus pretty much 100% of
the course visible from up there.
Plus, like all of the other races in the WVCXS, there was a record
turnout, if I'm not mistaken.
Thanks to all that have been involved - promoters, sponsors,
volunteers, and of course to all those that have come out and raced.
It's been great to see how much 'cross has really 'caught on' (again)
this season, round these parts.
I'm sure JR will have a link to a nice recap and maybe even some of
his great photos pretty soon.

ps. Craig W. - I still have your wheel. I brought it yesterday hoping
I'd see you. Let me know the best way to get it back to you.
