HSL (Hay Systems Ltd) are recruiting for a Head of Development, a newly created position, to build, lead and manage a software development team responsible for the development of internal systems and customer-facing applications used in mobile communications. The position will initially be based at our Livingston office and may result in a transfer to our planned new development office in central Edinburgh during 2012.
This is an excellent opportunity with a respected and successful Scottish company that has been in mobile since 1999 and is growing strongly. HSL is a provider of mobile messaging services, infrastructure vendor and independent mobile network operator. HSL's focus is on the quality and reliability of its services and products through the strong technical emphasis of the company. We were formed in Edinburgh and operate a global 24x7 service from our Livingston offices in the Alba Campus, Livingston. The company evolved into an infrastructure vendor and independent mobile operator having originally been established as an SMS gateway service provider. SMS remains a core activity through the Mobile Messaging division which services customers such as BAA, DHL, IKEA and Save the Children Fund. The Mobile Networks division of HSL develops mobile services and mobile network elements including SMSCs and HLRs.
