I have just been introduced to Moleskines just this year and use them
in everything. My question is:
What is your favorite Moleskine planner? The red, or the black. Weekly
or Daily. Hardcover or soft. Large or Small. And why?

I'm getting one this coming year and would like some input.

Thanks

Hi,
at the moment I am using the small black weekly planner notebook (soft
cover), which has one double side per week, calendar on the left and
lined note paper on the right.
I not really use it as a planner, more like a journal or diary. I
usually write some catchworks about my daily activities in the
calendar section, and use the note page to make a diary-like entry for
the week. So far, this configuration has wirked out quite well for me.
However, I am not entirely satisfied with the planner, since the
calendar has very small fields for Saturday/Sunday (both together have
the same allocated space as one weekday)

I considered using the red TwinSet for next year, but decided against
it because of the color, Moleskine REALLY should make black versions
of the Limited Edition Planners.

greetings,

I got the limited edition red planner for next year, pocket size. I
don't have that many appointments to keep up with on a daily basis, so
the small space for daily appointments on the left is perfect, which
gives me a whole page on the right for the to-do list. Since I won't
usually fill up a page each week with to-do items, I'll have space for
other notes and lists. Plus the new version of the planner has a
nifty extra tabbed booklet that you can customize, so I can put phone
numbers and other things in that. I think it will work well as my all-
in-one, calendar/notebook.

I, too, wish they would make the hardcover limited edition in black.
I bought the red one because it has the sturdier binding, the booklet
and the better pocket than the black, softcover version, but it's a
little ostentatious.

Thanks for the detailed explanation of how you use yours. It was helpful as I'm experimenting with mine, trying to decide where it fits in the overall "big picture" of my daily work-style, life-style. After using a Laptop & BlackBerry for so long, my handwriting is shot, thus my desire to return to pen & paper in some fashion.

Interestingly I didn't know what a "Moleskine" was until I saw one on Flickr. In fact it was after learning what it was, that compelled me to buy a few & try them. Now the task at hand is determining how I will use it, in conjunction with my continuing use of both my Laptop & BlackBerry.

I'm open to any & all suggestions from those of you out there who may wish to share your suggestions, or what works for you.

Thanks!
