Logic behind fid paths

I am attempting to read a large number of fids/paths for an array of
keys directly from the mysql database. I have an array of 300 keys or
so that I want returned in a single query.

How do I compute the /0/000/000 path correctly based on fid?

Is there any way to do this directly towards the mogilefsd tracker?

Example:

0012504682.fid
->0 012 504 682.fid

you will find that fid in: /var/mogdata/devX/0/012/504
devX you will have to ask from database though.

Hope that was what you were asking.

(What i still wonder is what happens when i get a fid greater than
9999999999.fid but will have 5 year to figure that one out)
