Hey their,

I have a MogileFS system with 2 trackers and 12 content nodes (total:
90700 GB). I want to drain some old servers (e.g. dev4: 348.914 GB) to
my new servers.

Rebalance Policy is no problem, but network load of my trackers is
really high during a rebalance (Tracker1: 1 Gbit/s Port, Tracker 2:
100 Mbit/s Port).
So my website is really slow or temporaly not available during a
rebalance.
My idea was to decrease my worker/rebalance jobs, to get a lower load,
but I'm not sure if this is the right way.

Does anyone have an idea, how I rebalance/drain my old contentservers
slowly with low load?

http://code.google.com/p/mogilefs/wiki/FSCK#Tuning_FSCK

The FSCK tuning guide is the same for rebalance guide, just that the
variables are named "queue_rate_for_rebal" and the worker you start or
stop more of is the replicate worker.

You can probably just reduce replicate workers until your load is low
enough. The other variables are mostly for DB load.
