Hello, I am new and have never taken lessons or been any type of
precision dancing. But I want to learn. What is Milonga and the other
dance terms I see on the calander? Where do I begin? Do I need a
partner? Thanks for reading this: Diane Reno, Modesto

Diane,
I am new to Argentine Tango, but I believe a Milonga is a social dance. Usually, there is a lesson teaching the basics, and there are always people who will help you. I am familiar with ballroom, but am a true neophite when it comes to Argentine Tango. Tonight, at Jacob's Fine Dining, there is a Milonga. The doors open at 6:00 pm, there is an introductory class at 7:30, and open dancing from 8:30 til midnight. The cost is $5.00 per person to watch and dance, but if you take the lesson at 7:30, it is $10.00...well worth it! Judy Jacob
