How to meassure performance improvement?

Hi, I just installed mod_spdy on my website www.flor360.com and
trivial testing it (loading http vs https version) looks in a huge
improvement, specially as I'm currently testing on a very slow link
(Aprox. 4.5Kbps).
I've checked in net-internals that it's using SPDY, but how could I
run a timed test of page loading?.

Chrome's Developer Tools with Yslow extension perhaps?
