What sort of cache expiration rule do you mean?
If you mean its time-to-expiry, that's not something that mod_pagespeed controls, that's Apache.
mod_pagespeed will cache-extend for a fixed period (1 year?) but that works because the resource name is changed to include a hash of the contents, so if the contents change the hash is wrong so the original file is refetched.

I have 3  cache extend questions
Question 1 .
Can I have cache extend rules at a directory level for each asset type.
For example if I have images under www.abc.com/assets/*.gif - I want to one type of cache expiration rule
similarily
For example if I have CSSunder www.abc.com/assets/*.css - I want to another type of cache expiration rule

If the above is possible can you let me know what is the lince of code that needs to be added

Question 2
I want to have cache at top domain level for example.
www.abc.com only and not for www.abc.com.cn

For this how do we do this.

Question 3 : We are using the cache at the CDN how beneficial in the extend cache or in the words will it cause any issues with regards to CDN caching at the edge.

Would really appreciate anyone feedback on the above 3 questions.

Raju
