Quick note to let you know that we've just released a site that
uses MochiWeb. It's an online network simulation environment called
Edgynet:
We're making heavy use of Comet (via the Bayeux protocol) to deliver
data to and from shells/terminals as quick as possible. All these
requests flow through MochiWeb. We also make use of mochijson2.
It's working out great - many thanks!
I know you Mochi Media guys are in the US, so it's worth noting that
the demo server is in Germany, and that the service is very sensitive
to latency. The upshot of this is that you will probably find shell
interaction to be very sluggish. The screencasts posted at the
site should give you a fair idea of how the shells perform in a
low-latency environment. MochiWeb, and Erlang in general, are the
ideal candidate for delivering highly-interactive apps like this
over the web.
Thanks again!
