describe.skip and it.skip not working

But strangely xdescribe and xit are working fine. I simply can't believe my eyes. https://github.com/visionmedia/mocha/issues/696. Anybody else encountered this behavior?

Are you using an outdated version of mocha, either globally or locally? (I avoid global installs of mocha for exactly this reason.)
