Hi Guys,
I just wanted to let you all know that mobilecast 3.0 Beta-1 was sent
over to the guys that manage the cydia repository late last night. It
should be available in cydia very soon. You will need a jailbroken
iphone (2.x firmware) to try out the beta.

trouble downloading podcast from certain site

I am having trouble getting Mobilecast to download podcasts from the
following site, [link]. The URL's of most of the downloads
are [link]<show name>/3687693.xml and I've tried
several of them with no luck. They appear to start to download but
stop quickly and all that's downloaded is the image file but no audio... more »

Is it not possible to write an app that only downloads podcasts and adds them to the iTunes directory? And also let's u delete them since ipod doesn't allow that yet. Would it be a lot of work for you to change mobilecast into just a download manager. Apple probably let u integrate with the ipod directory though. Maybe... more »

Someone posted a link to a mobilecast clone called 'podcaster' which
was in beta & awaiting approval from apple. They just posted an entry
in their blog stating that the app was rejected as it duplicates
functionality of itunes:

Mark as Read?

Is there any way to mark all the podcasts from a feed as read?
A couple times already Ive had my feeds get corrupted when I try and
refresh when accidentally not connected to a wifi.
When it recoveres, all the data on which shows has been lost and all
are un-listened to.

Firmware 2 / pwnage and mobilecast

Ok, I have bought firmware 2, downloaded Dev teams new pwnage tool
(it's just creating the JB'ken restore file)...but I don't want to
trash it till I know if I have to live without MobileCast (I use it
everyday and its brilliant and don't think I can do without it).

For a long time things were moving along pretty quickly, and now it's
been over a month since we've seen anything on the project. Are you
guys gearing up for a big release? An app-store version? Just
wondering what the status is on my favorite iphone app. :)

Episodes not downloading and reverting to unplayed

I have one podcast on my list that I have suddenly become unable to
download any episodes from. I am also unable to mark episodes as
played. iTunes has no problem downloading them. When I try to
download them, MC will create the file, but never download anything
