Handmark has an immediate opening in its Portland, Oregon office for a Software Engineer on our iPad / iPhone Development team.  This position will be responsible for:

· Participating in functional specification reviews and providing critical analysis about the material
· Implementing maintainable and high quality code that meets the requirements of the project
· Maintaining and bug fixing existing code
· Providing clear and concise guidance to QA regarding how to best test changes implemented
· Working closely with QA to resolve any defects identified
· Success of the team

Qualifications include:

· Several years of Cocoa development experience, ideally including Mac development experience before the iPhone was released

· B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related engineering or technical field

· Strong grasp of algorithms and data structures

· Experience working with a formal QA process and proper bug handling

· Excellent oral and written communication skills and a positive attitude

· Demonstrated solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, and peer code-reviews

· You think of yourself primarily as a developer, even though you may have a diversity of skills to offer

· Passion for mobile software products 

· Successful candidate will be self-motivated and excited about working alongside other people in a dynamic work environment.

All these iPhone / iPad jobs. Wish I had been learning this while I was busy doing my work with J2EE. I would love to not just be learning, but rather be at the point where I could take a job like this. :(
