I am consistently amazed by the open source community we have here. Thanks
everyone who replied.

There are some good docs efforts out there, and I was able to work through
them and get a new app working in Xcode.

Here are the docs, thanks to Marty Schoch, which I cleaned up a little.
Hopefully this will get you started if you have been waiting for docs:

This is not the final documentation as I picture it, but it gets the job
done so we can continue hacking. I for one am gonna write an app now!
