We are happy to announce a new Mobicents Diameter release, v1.2.0.GA !

What's new in this release?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a release similar to Mobicents Diameter 1.1.2.GA released on 21 Feb 2010
but which is aimed at JBoss AS 5.1.0 and Mobicents JAIN SLEE 2.0.0.GA.

It includes some minor improvements and fixes to Diameter Stack and Mobicents
JAIN SLEE 2.0.0.GA compliant Resource Adaptors for the following application:
 > Base
 > CCA
 > Sh-Client
 > Sh-Server
 > Ro
 > Rf
 > Cx/Dx

It is also included the User Guides for Core (Stack and Multiplexer), Resource Adaptors
and Jopr Plugin for Mobicents Diameter.

As usual, an alternative Diameter MUX component is released in standalone. At previous (1.1.X) releases
it was JBoss 5 MUX which was the alternative, now it has become the official and the alternative is the
JBoss 4 version, for backward compatibility.

Great news! Been playing with Mobicents Diameter in conjunction with Ericsson Billing SDK and works like a charm.

Just for clarity, to say 1.2.0.GA is SLEE 2.0.0 compliant does still mean that it will run in a 1.2.x.GA SLEE right? Or do you recommend some of the earlier release versions for these environments?

Thanks

Thanks! Good to know it's doing its job! ;-)

The Resource Adaptors included in the release are for JAIN SLEE 1.1 containers (Mobicents JAIN SLEE v2.x.y) and will not work in JAIN SLEE 1.0 containers (Mobicents JAIN SLEE v1.x.y).

I would definitely recommend you to upgrade to Mobicents JAIN SLEE 2.x.y. Your services should work out of the box, if not, we will be glad to help you in the migration.

While we will continue to support SLEE 1.0 Diameter RAs, and do some bug fixing releases, most improvements (eg, clustering) and work will be aimed for Mobicents JAIN SLEE 2.x version. Plus, the performance gain is huge!

Regards,
