Subject: Contract Flex Opportunity....
Hi, All,

A recruiter I've worked with is seeking a Flex Developer (some details
below).  If you are interested, contact Kathy (contact info also below).

(You may mention my name if you feel so compelled.)

Jen Jorissen

----------------------------
Experienced Flex Developer, Downtown Mpls:

    1. 3 years or more flex experience
    2. Has extensive experience in implementing different Flex
frameworks, especially dynamic reporting from Flex.

They are initially looking at a 6 month contract but expecting it to
last approximately 18 months.

Thanks for your help!

Just out of intellectual curiousity - would the recruiter be able to clarify
what is desired in regards to: "dynamic reporting from Flex"?

Sounds like an interesting, yet vague requirement.

I think that phrasing is from the client.  It is a bit vague, but is
used frequently by HR types to mean that the application will be pulling
numbers from a database somehow.  I'm guessing you'd be integrating the
Flex app with a Java backend.

If it helps at all, the client is a large financial entity that has a
number of complicated web-based applications.  Kathy can give you more
details about that.

I think it sounds redundant, reporting is dynamic in itself.  I think
that saying it is dynamic makes it sound like the reports themselves
are dynamic and not just the data.  But when it's coming from HR types
who knows.  I remember a 10+ years ago when interactive was still new
and I was still young and inexperienced being put off by a lot of the
requirements that would be in job postings.  But now I realize that
it's mostly BS to make jobs sound more interesting.  I'd like to see
postings that are more realistic, like "It's boring, unchallenging and
doesn't pay that well, but it's steady work and you might make some
friends."  or "Your supervisor is an recovering recovered alcoholic
and encourages a little whiskey in the top drawer if it helps you get
through the drudgery"

Honestly however, I'm actually interested in this and may contact
them.  The vaugery appeals to my dimwitted side, which seems to be
taking over.
