Come join Minnesota Campus Energy Challenge 2010 (MCEC 2010)! This is a student run competition aimed at making energy efficiency a daily part of our lives. Every year, participating schools compete to achieve the greatest percent reduction in total energy during the month of February through campus awareness, activities, and large campus improvement projects. To fairly compare each schools’ results, we compare each school to itself, using past Februaries as a baseline to calculate percentages.

To join...
and check out some of the exciting news for this year's MCEC visit http://sites.google.com/site/minnesotacampusenergychallenge/home or tinyurl.com/MNCEC10 and then fill out a form of interest here or by clicking on "Join us Today" on the left hand side of the homepage.

This competition runs through the month of February but the early start your school gets the more time to plan! Also, this year we will be having a retreat for organizers in early December so sign up now to get more information! The prize for the overall winner is a Bike Powered Blender; if you win this bike powered blender will spend the year at your school where you can make anything from smoothies to soups to milkshakes without using a kilowatt of energy.

Know someone who might be interested? A school group who would want to take this on? A network to get more schools involved? Please spread the word!

If you need more information you can contact me, Miwa Oseki Robbins at aose...@macalester.edu or any of the other state organizers whose contact information can be found here here on the "about" page of the MCEC website.

This is an awesome campaign. I will send it out to all of our YEA! MN
