I still browse every week or so just to see what's up. But I can tell
from looking that this ng has become rather dull.

I just need to know if anyone specifically wants me to come back on a
more regular basis and spice things up. Alternatively, as to whether
any of you have found the new, lame nature of mn.general to be a
positive thing.

Right after this post, I am going to post a single message in my
normal fashion, to remind you of what I am capable of.

Dude, it's the internet. Everyone is important.

You do need to brush up on your troll skills though. A good troll
pulls you in for a bit before they launch their madness on you. You
tend to announce your craziness pretty early on.

Maybe take another 'nym?

Otherwise there are some very affordable writing courses available at
our various community colleges.

Hardly. Are you sticking up for him? Is this some version of the "peter
principle?" Don't dick around or you might end up in a penal colony.

Hmmm, that sounds a bit worrisome.

Most of us are, I suspect, older people. Well seasoned? Dull and
boring? It all depends on your perspective. If you're under 25,
perhaps someplace hipper is more to your taste.

I haven't read that message. "What I am capable of" is rather
disturbing. Mankind has shown itself capable of enormity such as the
Nazis, the Khymer Rouge, and truly countless acts of cruelty on an
smaller basis. We are also capable of sublime acts of kindness,
compassion, and beauty. What did you have in mind?

I sense that a link explaining that analogy might be useful. :-)

ok, there used to be a guy who roamed the downtown area of Mpls talking to
himself. Sometimes loudly but generally not a menace to society. Found out
he was a retired special ed teacher from the inner cities.
