I rushed in the Bull Ring yesterday to buy a Magic Mouse (without the
27" iMac attached unfortunately)

In the video on the Apple website it suggests you can flick from page
to page in Safari and flick through your photo's. I can't!! I've set
it up for 2 finger swiping but still doesn't work.

The others who are in possession of a MM - can you get it to work?

Thanks
Pete

Yes, that's working here fine.

In Aperture I found I had to have the cursor over a photo, even if
that photo was already selected, before the swiping would work. Might
that be the case with you?

Can't account for Safari; it just works here. I did expect to flick
between tabs rather than just go back and forth in my history, but
it's fast and fine.

Are you both on 10.5.8 or higher and up to date?
The momentum scroll is 10.6 only.

I'm on 10.6.1. But you asking me that suddenly reminded me: Pete, did
you download the Magic Mouse software update?

I don't know if this yet available under the general Software Update
on your Mac; I got mine direct from Apple's download site.

I just got it from Software Update. Pair the mouse first, then it
should pick it up.

I was being lazy not looking for that, sorry: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL950?viewlocale=en_US

But I'd do what Robert says and see if that gets it for you through
the usual Software Update.

Hi

When I got my MM and paired it up the MM software update came through
on software update which I then downloaded and installed.

However as I said previously the flicking in safari history failed to
work.

So this morning I downloaded the MM software update from the Apple
website and reinstalled it and now it works!

Just noticed that when in Mail if you flick you can flick between e-
mails as well. Not sure yet if this is cool or will prove to be a pain
in the backside as it doesn't take much movement to initiate the flick.

Pete

by the way I'm on 10.6.1
