I think I put something on here a couple of months back but didn't
much of a response. O2 can't help as they think I'm makng it up!

People keep telling me they can't get in touch with me as when they
call it doesn't ring they just get a message asking them if they want
to send a text. I don't know the exact wording and I can't find
anything on Google.

It's only some people, most don't know anything about the problem, and
I can't replicate it myself. I could kind of understand if it was
going straight to voicemail, but they can't leave a message. VM works
fine for everyone else calling me if I can't answer.

I have an iPhone 3G on O2's simplicity tariff, it's not the sim, this
is a new sim with the new tariff, it did the same with the previous
sim too.

I really don't know what to do, anyone any ideas? It's so frustrating
I need to be able to take calls at all times as I have 2 disabled
children and must be contactable at all times, do I just dump the
iPhone?

Is there a commonality between the people who can't contact you? Are they calling from a landline? From BT or Virgin? Or a mobile?
It could be some service the phone provider is using, rather than using O2's proper voicemail box.

Most seem to be landlines a presume BT but others have been from mobiles with different providers.
