Subject: Shared Macs question

Dear all,

Attached is a screen shot from my G5 showing my 20" iMac as a shared  
computer. I'm curious to know what the  20-imac icon is for. It always  
shows up and there doesn't seem to be much point.

Check your System Prefs > Sharing > options, look to see if Windows  
File sharing is on.

My guess is that the speech marks in the Mac's name are illegal for  
SMB sharing (or something else) so it removes them giving you 2 names.  
If you select it it should highlight the services available, in case  
it is another service that is removing the " from 20"mac.
