I too love mine and haven't regretted it for a second, but it might be useful to know what you do (work or pastimes), what tech you currently do it with, and where. This might give a better picture of how it might fit into your life, at least initially.

So far I am happy with mine both as a business tool and a personal toy. For biz you need Pages, Numbers ad PDF Pro apps and they are cheap. Adding the files to and fro with Itunes is easy and you can send them or save them as Word or Excel . Connectivity and download speed is far faster than any MacBook I've seen. The only thing I miss is a file system (Finder) and the only thing I dislike is the bottom left key on the keypad that toggles numeric and alpha as its too easy to clunk  it while ty08ing especially on a train where space is tight! (Why do we have 2 buttons .?123). Buy

Short answer - YES! Whatever age you are (and I'm 67). It's addictive, and gets more so as you 'play' with it.
