Can't see Firewire ports

PowerMac G5 with 5.5 Gb Ram

My firewire ports appear to have died which is a tad annoying. I've
reset the PMU which is usually thought to clear the problem, and has
done on the last and only occasion that this happened. But this time
it hasn't worked. I can't find anything else useful on the web so does
anyone have any suggestions please?

(Try the PMU again?)
