I had it replaced about a year after I got it, my 3 years of AppleCare runs out any day if it hasn't already, can't remember the exact day I got the machine delivered but I'm sure it was late November and not into December. There are lots of articles online talking about faulty magsafe leads and Apple replacing them out of warranty, anyone know anything about this?
I was hoping mine could be replaced free of charge, mainly because its only just out of warranty - I just have not had a chance to get to the Apple store or I would, just too busy but the leads been playing up for a few weeks now - but also because there seems to be a design fault with them, the wire looks in perfect condition is is obviously not been abused.
Any idea if I will get lucky with this? Am I better off talking to Apple over the phone?
