MLUG Logo

[Inash]

One of the task in hand is to design a Logo for the MLUG. So if you
could design or get a designer to design one for us, you could upload
it to this group and reply to this thread with a small description of
it and a direct URL for that file.

The raw file could be in either vector design application formats such
as Corel Draw, Illustrator, Inkscape. The sample attachment file for
this thread could be in JPEG or PNG. And preferred format for the logo
when finalized could be in a distribution vector format such as SVG or
in PNG and GIF formats.

Lets have a certain number of submissions.A good number, >10?. Then we
can decide on a logo for MOSS & MLUG by a vote.

i checked the suggestions so far and i have to say, fabulous work. But
everyone's suggesting fagudi with tux. I think it'd be better to not
stick with any such logos. Just start it from scratch.

I propose using a variant of the GNU logo:
here's an idea:
the horns bent a bit more downwards to represent a letter "M".

A mascot as a logo has a personal feel.Not too formal. Not corporate.
Has a community feel. That's what FLOSS is about right?. Freedom &
