Did we (MOSS) try to find out the justification behind this move by
NCIT. I am sure they are aware of other alternative solutions but why
this move?
I guess one of the reasons behind not going for OSS is the support
factor. I feel one of the major issues that need to be addressed is
the lack of trust by the government and other enterprises towards the
IT industry and the individuals who are involved. I feel this is one
key point that needs to be addressed and confronted with. There is
this general thinking and saying that "IT guys are lazy and can't be
depended on". They (NICT and gov) will always have been talking this
excuse when we talk about FLOSS. I maybe wrong here, but this is my
view.
