*Duties:*
Install and configures two new IBM Power 7 740. Develop plans assists with
migrating existing p4 650 and p5 570 AIX LPARs to new hardware for SAP
environment
Providing AIX systems administration, systems engineering, and application
migration for IBM/AIX LPARS in test, development, and production
environments;
Building, configuring, and administering IBM AIX 6.1 and 7.X on p740’s
platforms;
Setting up, configuring and testing PowerHA/HACMP LPARs;
Providing input on strategic planning, capacity planning, process
improvements, and engineering design;
Presenting project status, issues, and other key information to management,
peers and stakeholders;
Providing effective communication at all levels of management, peers and
customers through clarity of expression and the ability to organize
thoughts both written and oral.
Coordinating the installation and upgrades of hardware and software;
Interacting with IT staff and vendors regarding complex testing or
troubleshooting issues.
