[ML-news] Postdoctoral Associate Position in U of Florida

Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research and Emerging
Pathogens Institute at the University of Florida are seeking a
Postdoctoral Associate in bioinformatics. The major research focus is
on developing and applying machine learning and statistical
methodologies to address the computational challenges of analyzing
massive sequence data generated by next-generation DNA sequencing
technologies. Time-limited: 1-year contract with possible 1-year
extension depending upon performance and funding. Requirement: A PhD
degree in computer science, electrical engineering, bioinformatics, or
related field; excellent communication skills; ability to effectively
work individually and as part of a team; strong background in machine
learning and statistical data analysis; proficiency with some
combination of the following programming languages: C, Matlab, Perl,
and Java; biology background is a plus but not necessary.
