PhD scholarships in Machine Learning and Computational Linguistics

I've just moved to Macquarie University, in Sydney, Australia, and I'm
recruiting PhD students interested in working in Machine Learning,
Statistical Modelling and Computational Linguistics. I'm especially
interested in syntactic parsing of text and speech, and Bayesian
models for learning grammars (see http://web.science.mq.edu.au/~mjohnson/
).

Macquarie University is investing heavily in language research, and
there are very active language acquisition and psycholinguistics
groups (e.g., we have a MEG machine for real-time brain imaging). I
particularly encourage students interested in computational models of
language acquisition or psycholinguistics to apply.
