Hi,

I am not sure if this has bewen asked before: Would it be possible to
use ML to restrict the camera to a max. exposure time (e.g. like
1/125) or min. ISO-value while still using auto-ISO when the camera is
in aperture-priority mode and NOT in liveview?

The background behind this question is the fact that the 5DmII when in
Av-mode makes the exposure time so long to get correct exposure until
it hits ~1/folcal-length and only after this point it starts pumping
up the ISO-value when in auto-ISO. This causes still handholdable
exposuretimes, but given some object movement (e.g. people ;-) you are
likely to get blurry images.

So the question is: is there a possbility to force the camera to
increase the ISO-value (assuming auto-ISO) before makeing the exposure-
time longer than a desired value? It would come down to a more usable
auto-ISO implementiation.

I know this is a still-photography feature, but I was just curious if
the current understanding of the firmware and possibilities with ML
would suffice to achieve this.

Kind regards,
Michael G.

PS: I know that setting fixed higher ISO-values or using manual-mode
would be potentiasl workarounds, but they seem not as clever as a
better auto-ISO.
