But I'm not sure if comments made on resolved issues get seen, so I'm creating a new post.

This issue is a request for super slow shutter speed for movie mode on 550D.

Here's a very cool ghost effect for movies on a GH1 720p50 1/2 second shutter:

They both remind me of the earlier ghost work done in "What Dreams May Come" on the character played by Cuba Gooding, Jr.

You can do that basically by taking photo's in the normal way and then
you could even render out 5 or 4k vids but you can use silent shutter
to take shots and in any vid program use the pictures to make a video.
Only thing missing is the sound though.

Alex, the nagging question for me remains, is it possible to expand
the current limit for slower shutter speeds in movie mode?
