Subject: [60D] Port ML to 60D
Hi,

I've just downloaded the 1.0.8 upgrade for Canon 60D and upgraded my
camera. I would love to help with porting ML on 60D now that we have the
firmware image, but I'm not quite sure where to start.

Could somebody point me in the right direction? What needs to be done to
support a new camera? My main questions are:
-- How do I get a firmware dump out of the .fir file?
-- How do we create the IDC file?
-- Are we even able to create a signed .fir file (similar to the one for
550D) to make the camera boot from the card?

I would really appreciate some basic pointers to get me started. I was
able to build the ML for 550D and do some basic testing with it, so I
would really like to do some more embedded development/hacking.

Thanks
Pete
