Canon 5D Mark II - Strange Thing

I know it has been discussed previously on other cameras. I just found
out that my raw footage is not 1920x1080, but 1920x1088 as I can see
in VLC and in Windows file description.Both Quicktime, Premiere and
After Effects present raw footage as being 1920x1080 though. Should I
be worried about it? Should I do something? The Premiere and AE output
looks ok, it does not seem to be affected.

I wouldn't worry. The people who thought 1920x1080 would be a good
resolution for HD forgot that 1080 is not divisible by 16/32/64, which
most of the compression algorthms like.

In addition. 600d cropzoom footage has 8 lines of noise at the bottom. You should crop those in post.
