alex, another "small" input: would it be possible to add a magic.cfg
parameter that the ISO menu only shows the "good" values - 160, 320
and 640, 800, 1250, 1600, 2500 see: http://www.vimeo.com/19579012

I rarely use different ISOs...so it would be faster than clicking
through all..

cheers

Interesting test especially native iso are not even close to what
Canon had set it to. Especially ISO 2500 seem to be way more useful
and looks very equal amount of noise with 1600, just tested ISO 2500
and looks quite nice normally would never go beyond 1600 cause of the
noise but have to say from this test now would film 2500 if I ever
need to go beyond 1600.

Done. Put this in magic.cfg:

iso.round.only = 1

AJ - this would be a nice one for the 5D!

Nice I wonder if ISO100 also have noise if there would have been a
ISO80 or lower than 100 that would have no noise. But have to say
ISO2500 is quite awesome just did a vid with that and it has quite
usable footage without too much crazy noise.

Would it be possible to show (n) next to the native isos, and allow
all others to be selected? So that we have all isos values but know
the native ones on hand

Hi.

Is there a possibility to have an Max Value of ISO in Auto ISO Mode?

Let's say, I set ISO to Auto, and I want to have max ISO 1600 (Auto
ISO range between 100 and 1600)?

Thx for reply.
Marcin.

Yes, it's in Canon menus, but works only for photos. In video mode, it
would work only by implementing auto iso from scratch. Not really a
priority, since auto exposure ruins most videos from what I've seen.

Auto ISO is horrible when filming, it like to over expose or under
expose like crazy and better just set own ISO that you want and just
change it manually.

this is a great option, most of the times I only want to use the clean
ISO's, but it would be nice to have the option of all iso range just
in case.

maybe there can be a key modifier like in follow focus.
set & disp switch between clean ISO, light sensor covered + set & disp
to switch between all ISO values

good read about "native" ISOs: http://shootintheshot.joshsilfen.com/2010/05/13/canon-hd-dslr-native-iso/

in the end: it's good to have the 160 multiples AND the original 100,
200, 400 etc. - depending if you shoot outdoors in sunlight or inside
in the dark.

this build is with all iso when you alter the line inside the
MAGIC.cfg from 0 to 1 it changes he list to
0/100/160/200/320/400/640/800/1250/1600/3200/6400 instead of the full
list. If not changed it keeps all the standard ML ISO.
