ANNOUNCEMENTS
Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010

1. Homeroom teachers distributed envelopes regarding student
pictures. Payment for pictures must be made on picture day. Do not bring
money to school prior to picture day. Homeroom teachers cannot take
responsibility for your money. Look over the picture envelope with your
parents and plan ahead. Picture day is Friday, Sept. 17th.

2. Here a few announcements from the public library ~~ HYC, the
Huron Youth Connection, is back! Fifth through eighth graders are invited
to check out the HYC after school from 2:30 till 5:00, Monday through
Thursday at the public library. Have a snack, hang out with friends, play
games or work on homework. Visit twice and then join!

3. If you are going to be in the7th through 12th grade and
would like to make a difference at Huron Public Library while having some
fun, join the Teen Library Council. Applications are available at the
circulation and adult desks and [

meets monthly during the school year. In September, old and new members
alike can attend either Monday, September 13 or Friday, September 17 from
3- 4:30 PM Along with mapping out our year, we will be playing �Chain

4. Second Thursday Seminar� Introduction to Coin Collecting ---
Thursday, Sept. 9th, 6:30-7:30 PM
Rich Bevington will discuss the basics of coin collecting: What should one
collect? How does one organize a collection? Where can one get coins?
Where can one learn more? If you have a few coins you want to know more
about, bring them with you.

5. Congratulations to the seventh and eighth grade volleyball
teams who both defeated Edison last night in 2 games. The girls play home
tomorrow night. Come and show your support! Good luck, girls!
